Biography


Joan R. Stokely brings over 25 years of business experience to The Society of Diplomacy, Inc. She held several corporate finance positions at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. In 1987, Joan left TJU and founded The Accounting Office, Inc. During this time, she worked with many diverse corporate clients and observed how people advanced or failed in their careers. Joan identified that success or failure in careers is directly correlated
to basic protocol skills. She realized the powerful impact that social skills had on individuals and companies.  Joan received formal education and earned teaching certifications for Corporate Etiquette, International Protocol, and Children’s manners. Then,
in 2003 Joan founded The Protocol School of Philadelphia for advancing social skills. Due to an overwhelming positive response from the corporate industry, The Society of Diplomacy, Inc. was established in 2006 to concentrate its’ programs on professional
protocol and etiquette at the domestic and international levels. 

Today, The Protocol School of Philadelphia continues to operate focusing on children and
teens manners.

Along with credentials in Protocol and Etiquette, Joan holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Cabrini College and did her graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania and Immaculata University.
